A new moth from last night - Rosy Rustic





Also, this large Hoverfly - anyone any ideas on what it might be?

    The Hoverfly looks to be Volucella zonaria

    Thanks - I thought that it would probably be that but am not really an expert. They are also likely to be migrants and therefore caught in moth traps if I remember right?
