Moths

Moth trap back on after almost two weeks. Poor weather for it but worth a go! 18 moths of 6 species including two new ones - Early Moth (probably) and Streamer. The Early Moth is quite late according to the books but I am pretty sure it is that and not Sloe Carpet.

    I saw a streamer moth in the toilet block at Wembury beach yesterday, a very pretty looking moth. Also more water carpets were seen, the toilet block does seem to attract a good variety of moths - if the lights are left on overnight!

    None at all on Saturday morning though despite the lights being on!
